No. It is not only the pens that are faked but the papers that come with them. Copied service guides of the kind supplied with the Bohème were already being offered alongside Asian-made counterfeits in the mid-2000s. A seemingly complete set of case, guarantee booklet and service instructions therefore says nothing about authenticity; it is the pen itself that has to be examined.

Listings of this kind are taken down by the auction sites once they are reported, since the trade mark owner has the market monitored. It would be unwise to rely on that, though, as many listings run to the hammer unchallenged.
