The features described clearly speak against an original; a Meisterstück imprint near the writing tip does not belong on the Solitaire Carbon Steel; the cap ring, the star and the form of the clip deviate, and the gap at the lower barrel end does not exist on the original model. Montblanc has never made such a model. Only the packaging could be original. A definitive assessment is only possible through a boutique or an authorised dealer on the spot.

Can it be said from photos whether a supposed Montblanc Solitaire Carbon Steel with Meisterstück imprint near the writing tip and a strikingly two-piece body is an original?

I have buy in ebay this pen... but I don\'t know securely what model is it...
I think that is a Montblanc solitaire carbon steel... but I cannot know why the pen have write "meisterstuck" near the point of pen, and why, where the refill goes out for write, the body of the pen is made in two parts and not have only aone body... you can see that thing in a photo of the bid... the pen is a fake...???

to be true... I havn\'t seen such a pen before!
Here you will find a photo how the Carbon Steel Meisterstück should look like

(please scroll to the bottom of the website). There you clearly see, that there is no "Meisterstück" Imprint near the ballpoint tip!
On the other hand, at least the box seems to be original.
So I would recommend you to show the pen to your local Montblanc dealer and may be have a look at similar models. This pen is somewhat "strange"...

I think so too that it is really strange....!!!
I see this particurarly after I win the bid...!!!
I think now that probably it was be repaired by another montblanc tip... but the seller say me that it is new...!!!
I wait that it arrive to me and I go to the official montblanc retailer for askif it is original or not... maybe it is a really are kind of pen and has a good value...!!! :P ...

The pictures are quite dark and one can not see exactly what one should see ...
Due to the cap ring, the clip and cap top and the "unusual" engraving on the tip I would guess that this pen is a fake. As least I definately can say that Montblanc never made a model like this up to mid of last year.

not only the ring looks strange. Regard the lower end of the pen: there is a gap over the engraving, you can\'t find both of them on the original. The star at the top end seems to be too "edged", well the foto\'s aren\'t too sharp to identify more details like serial No. etc.
