The Anniversary Edition bearing the year 1924 appeared in 1999 for the 75th anniversary of the Meisterstück. The matching ballpoint is listed under article number 75202 and cost the equivalent of around 250 euros in 1999, or just under 490 DM. A complete example with case and papers accordingly ranks higher on the collectors' market than a bare pen without accessories.
As a general rule, the special and anniversary editions of those years were offered only marginally dearer than the corresponding production models; collectors report that in Deutsche Mark days the premium was often no more than about 20 DM. A special edition is therefore not automatically an expensive rarity, and the original retail price says little about what a pen is worth today. That depends above all on condition, on whether the packaging is complete, and on how sought-after the particular edition is.
