The following approximate measurements apply to the Meisterstück range as it has been since the shapes of the 1950s were taken up again. The 149 piston filler measures 145 to 147 mm capped, with a cap diameter of about 16.5 mm and a barrel diameter of 15 mm. The LeGrand size takes in the 146 piston filler, the 147 Traveller cartridge pen, the 162 rollerball, the 168 Document Marker, the 161 ballpoint and the 167 propelling pencil; these run to about 145 mm in length with a cap diameter of 15 mm and a barrel diameter of 13 mm, the ballpoint to 148 mm and the pencil to as much as 150 mm. Before the Traveller was introduced the 146 was shorter, at about 142 mm.
The Classique size is distinctly slimmer: the 144 converter pen, the 163 rollerball, the 164 ballpoint and the 165 propelling pencil measure 134 to 136 mm with a cap diameter of about 12 mm and a barrel diameter of 10.5 mm, while the 145 Chopin comes out slightly larger at about 138 mm long, 13 mm and 11.5 mm. The smallest size consists of the 114 Mozart cartridge pen at about 114 mm together with the 116 ballpoint and the 117 propelling pencil at about 106 mm, each with an 11 mm cap and a 9 mm barrel diameter. The figures were taken without callipers and are meant as a guide to relative size.
