The Solitaire Doué exists regularly with a gold-plated cap in the model sizes 144, 146, 163, 164 and 165, each with thread-guilloched decoration; the 144 has the ID number 03495-98 or 14144 with a list price around 535 euros. The gold-plated variant is mainly known from the Bordeaux writing instruments, on which the cap is of gold-plated sterling silver and the body of dark-red precious resin; a black-body variant with gold-plated silver cap is rarer. The meaning of the imprint 'Metal 2' on the clip ring is not finally clarified in the collector circle.

Hallo Ihr,
bin neu hier und hab gleich eine Frage: Weiß jemand von Euch, ob es den 144 er Solitaire Doué außer mit 925 Silber Kappe auch mit 925er Silberkappe, aber vergoldet (plated) gibt? Und noch eins: Was bedeutet die Bezeichnung "Metal 2" am Clipring des Solitaire?

Bisher kannte ich die vergoldete Kappe nur bei den bordeaux-farbenen Schreibgeräten, d.h. die Kappe ist aus vergoldetem Sterlingsilber und der Korpus aus dunkelrotem Edelharz.
Metal 2 habe ich auch schon mal auf den Clips gelesen... was es bedeutet ist mir leider unbekannt. Falls Du unsicher bist, mach doch einfach ein Foto und veröffentliche es im Forum. (Das Foto darf maximal 499x499 Pixel und 70 kB groß sein)

Vielen Dank, ich probiers mal zu fotografieren. Die Variante mit bordeauxfarben und Silberkappe vergoldet kenn ich auch, aber mit schwarzem Korpus? Ich bin mir auf jeden Fall sicher, daß der MB echt ist, könnte aber ja sein, daß die beiden Teile eigentlich nicht zusammengehören?
