The Writers Edition for the year 2004 is dedicated to Franz Kafka. It was illustrated for the first time in the Limited Editions catalogue for 2004. In September 2004 production at the Hamburg factory was in full swing, and by that time the first pieces were already standing in individual Montblanc boutiques. The specialist trade was not supplied until about a month later, so that the examples sold through the boutiques are the earliest pieces delivered.
