At the beginning stands the mixing of the precious resin. Various additives, which are not disclosed, give the material its particular depth and its characteristic lustre. The finished resin then passes to the moulding shop, where the basic bodies of the writing instruments are produced by injection moulding.
Quality control begins immediately after the injection moulding; the blanks are inspected before they are processed further. After that they go to the lathe and are brought into shape there. In this area too, manual work determines the result at a number of working steps, even though at first glance the hall is dominated by machines. Up to assembly the parts are checked again and again and any defects are rectified.
