Montblanc announced several special models for 2008. The Friedensreich Hundertwasser edition appeared in a run of 100 pieces in solid yellow gold with blue enamel stripes; before its launch the price was estimated at 15,000 to 17,000 euros. The Patron of Arts Edition for 2008 was François I. Added to these were the Bohème Papillon in rose, white and yellow gold, whose exact numbers were not apparent from the advance reports of the time and which were priced considerably higher.
The Bohème Arabesque, by contrast, was not among the limited editions but part of the regular range. Figures from advance announcements should always be read with caution: edition sizes and prices were quoted before launch and occasionally differed from the figures that later applied.
