The VIP series was sold from 1978 to 1984; according to further sources, it was already produced for Montblanc by Aurora from the mid-1970s. Available were exclusively fountain pens and rollerball (formerly called Quickpen); ballpoints or pencils did not belong to the programme. Market prices for the fountain pen are around 40 to 120 euros, for the rollerball 40 to 80 euros. Current Montblanc converters with thread do not fit; suitable are the old converters (market price about 5 to 20 euros) as well as, as a stopgap, Pelikan converters and cartridges. The Aurora converter of the Hastil 158 has a different fitting and is not compatible.
