How does one correctly fill an ink converter: via the screwed-in nib or directly at the bottle?

Montblanc Montblanc — general FAQ entry

The correct method is filling via the screwed-in converter, that is, by dipping the nib in the ink bottle and drawing up the ink via the feed.
