This version is a Bohème Doué from the group with light-coloured precious metal, and Montblanc lists it under the ident number 08586. Its distinguishing features are the guilloché barrel with a lattice pattern, the platinum-plated front section and the platinum-plated cone with the white star inlaid, rings that are likewise platinum-plated, and a clip set with an onyx. The refill is advanced by a twist mechanism.
The engraved number on the clip, in a form such as “CD1042800 France”, is not the model number and is of no help in identification; a pen is placed by its specification, that is by material, decoration, the colour of the trim and the stone in the clip. The Bohème line was offered over many years in a great many variants, so that pens which look all but identical may differ only in the colour of the stone, the type of guilloché work or the colour of the trim. Comparison against a model listing is therefore essential.
