A model that cannot be assigned is often a composite piece from components of various origin. In the concrete case the cap comes from a 234½, the body from a 344 or 342, so both parts are Montblanc originals but were not delivered in the same model. A corresponding model designation cannot therefore exist. For use as a writing instrument such a mix is nonetheless suitable; from a collector view, however, only as a parts donor.
