It is a Solitaire 164 Doué; the inscription METAL2 without 925 hallmark indicates that the pen consists of gilded brass and not of vermeil (gilded silver). Montblanc later replaced the vermeil version with gilded brass, since vermeil tarnishes with time and the gilding can become spotted. The Pix engraving under the clip is entirely normal: Pix was originally Montblanc's brand name for mechanical pencils and was later used on further writing instruments too, because the brand Meisterstück was not protectable in all countries. Pix is therefore frequently found on rings of various Meisterstücks and is no indication of a counterfeit.
