Hello dear friends,
I usually TRY to follow discussions here in German, and this time, I wish to give some more details about this particular limited edition.
The pattern is due to the new shirt of the French national football team, recalling the "mariniere" pattern.
It belongs to an initiative by the famous fashion boutique in Paris, Colette, who asked several famous brands to adapt of of their leading products, such as Longchamp (women bags) or Montblanc, naturally. This colour is also the one of Colette's logo.
The pen is made of Meissen white porcelain, but bears the blue lines you can see on the pictures. The pen, though it is a very limited edition, is NOT numbered -- alas ! The boxes (outer and inner) have no special marks -- alas ! -- except the sticker on the outer box, showing that only 5 pieces have been issued.
OF COURSE, it is sold out since the very first days of the operation, and I have had the pleasure to get one.. Of course, 2500€ may sound expensive to many of us, but since the unnumbered Meissen white porcelain costed about 1940€, a 5 unit limited edition at 2500€ sounds interesting !
Kind regards
Thierry
