The Lamy 27 appeared, according to manufacturer information, in 1952 and is regarded as the first streamlined fountain pen with hooded nib made in Germany. Until 1958, twelve different model variants were offered, whose components were partly exchangeable among each other. The short nib with 585 stamp is typical of the series.
