Pelikan uses, like many makers, a pencil mechanism by Schmidt Feintechnik. To refill the reservoir, the housing is unscrewed in the middle; if this cannot be opened, the piece was presumably glued by the previous owner. In this case only filling with single leads from the front remains. Cautious disassembly by an expert can restore the original function, provided the bonding can be loosened.
