On the Lamy twin pen, ballpoint refill (small) and pencil lead holder can usually be pulled out at the front and replaced with new refills/leads. At the back under the cap is the eraser. On older variants the pen must be unscrewed in the middle; thereby first a container turns out; on careful further turning, the inner workings become accessible.
