The Patron of Art Edition 2008 is dedicated to François I; corresponding flyers and first pictures were available around the start of 2008; in the boutiques hardly any information was given in advance. Stylistically the edition seems to some collectors disappointing and comparatively plain, with comparisons drawn to a mix of Delta and Montegrappa designs; by collector opinion it does not reach Writers Editions like Proust or Poe. Both the 4810 and the 888 variant appeared.

Ich denke das wird man mit einem "Niet." Beantworten müssen. Einfach mal warten...
Zumindest wurde es mir anfang 2008 nicht verraten als ich Anfang 2008 in der Boutique fragte.

hello, I have just seen this new François Ier edition (have a look at the label on the box, it\'s funny...); in fact I think it is quite disappointing, as it looks like a cheap edition, particularly considering some of the writers editions of the past years (Proust, Poe...). I have only seen the 4810 edition ; maybe the 888 edition will be better. I hope so...

für mich sieht der "Francois I." – auch wenn es respektlos klingen mag – wie eine misslungene Mischung von einem Delta und einem Montegrappa aus.
Aber das ist mein ganz persönlicher Geschmack.

leider hast du nicht ganz unrecht, Misslungen würde ich zwar nicht sagen aber doch schon "eigenständig" auf seine Art. Wie auch immer man eigenständig interpretiert...

naja ganz soooo hart würde ich es nicht sagen. Ich stimme Horst zu, die 2008er Edition ist auf jeden Fall für Montblanc recht ungewöhnlich. Auf jeden Fall gehöre ich nicht zu der Zielgruppe, die sich davon angesprochen fühlt. Der Humboldt ... ja, das ist so ein Füllhalter ... so etwas kauft man gern. Andererseits muss Montblanc weltweit seine Kunden ansprechen und in anderen Ländern hat man sicher einfach einen anderen Geschmack und andere Präferenzen. Mich begeistert es auf jeden Fall, dass Montblanc sich immer etwas Neues einfallen lässt.

To be honest. I do not like the new 2008 Patron of Arts, it\'s a very unusual Montblanc. And I do not belong to the target group that would buy this pen. I prefer the Humboldt (which I bought). On the other hand ... most Montblanc customers are outside Germany and probably also outside Europe and may be they just have other tastes and preferences and like this pen. I am always fascinated by the variety of ideas that Montblanc has proven over all the years with its Limited Editions.

Ich muß gestehen, er gefällt mir doch sehr gut- auf den Bildern war es nicht der Fall!

ich kenne auch einige Sammler, denen diese Edition auf den Fotos nicht so gut gefallen hat und die sich den Füllfederhalter dann doch gekauft haben.
Ich bin gespannt, wann er auch in Münster in einem Fachgeschäft zu sehen sein wird.

Hallo zusammen,
inzwischen habe ich mir den Francois I. mal im Laden angeschaut ... und er gefällt mir wirklich gut. Man muss ihn halt doch einfach mal in der \"Realität\" anschauen. Nichtsdestotrotz ist es sicher durch die Beschläge kein \"typischer\" Montblanc, aber das macht ja das Sammeln eigentlich auch spannend.
