The Patron of Art Edition 2006 honours Sir Henry Tate, British sugar producer and patron, who in 1872 acquired the patent for sugar cubes (he did not invent them himself) and with his fortune founded the Tate Gallery. The pen has a striking red surface that recalls for collectors the Pope Julius II 888 or the Jules Verne, with a shape similar to the Frederick II. The official presentation took place first in the USA; in Asia, brochure photos circulated already beforehand.
