Dear Writing Instruments Collectors,

I do not actually advertise specific commercial offers.

Here is an exception: I recommend the following website to all collectors: www.penboard.de

To be perfectly clear: I receive no money from the operators of this website for this recommendation.

The basic issue:
Many collectors are hesitant to purchase older writing instruments. For me this was also the case up to about 4 years ago - I used to buy old Writing Instruments occasionally on eBay. But unfortunately, despite promising item descriptions, they were mostly Writing Instruments in need of repair. I hatte dann recht schnell die "Lust" an alten Writing Instrumentsn verloren. Dies möchte ich anderen "Neusammlern" ersparen, denn it is simply a very special feeling to write with old writing instruments zu schreiben! Inzwischen habe ich mehr Erfahrungen sammeln können and I dare, from time to time, to make purchases on eBay as well.

My preference is to buy writing instruments at collectors' fairs, where I can hold them in my own hands before purchasing. Unfortunately, collectors' fairs happen far too rarely... or one sometimes does not have the time to travel to one of these pen exchanges.

There is also www.penboard.de - an online shop by four respected collectors and my friends. The website has existed for 5 years in total - Tom has here a shop as well as an archive with hundreds of Writing Instrumentsn aufgebaut. The four collectors have been selling their treasures on this website for about 2 years. Only items are offered here that are in at least excellent condition. Usually the Itemzustand sogar near mint to mint, d.h. neuwertig.
