Montblanc
Pencil L72 / PIX,
Around 1937 the barrel was still made of hard rubber.
Very beautiful fittings with embossing.
These were presumably cast; when viewed with a magnifying glass
one can see a so-called parting line, typical of a clam-shell mold
manufacturing process.
Die Writers Edition VOLTAIRE has similar fittings, though they are not worked as finely as on this L72.
Montblanc Pix was and still is a registered trademark
of Montblanc. All newer clips (from approx. year 2000) of the Meisterstück series carry the Pix® stamp on the underside.
