The "Arena
di Verona" is the second-largest well-preserved
Roman amphitheater after the Colosseum in Rome. However, parts
of the outer ring were destroyed by an earthquake in 1117. In remembrance
of this event, Montblanc published this special limited edition in the summer of 2006.
The cap head symbolizes the seating areas of the theater. Another
special feature is that this is probably the
first Montblanc fountain pen with wood inlays (ebony).
