The Skeleton Edition "4th of July" is another limited edition,
which was specially produced for the American market.
It is only available in Montblanc boutiques in the USA. In total
only 56 writing instruments were manufactured.
The fountain pen is made of 18-karat white gold with mother-of-pearl inlays. The
size corresponds roughly to the 149.
The cap is engraved with the signatures of the 13 most important signatories
of the Declaration of Independence - this corresponds
to the number of founding states.
In total, the fountain pen is decorated with 73 diamonds
(35 on the cap and 38 on the body).
The 18-karat gold nib is engraved with an image of Thomas Jefferson
as well as 13 stars.
