Montblanc
Patron of the Arts 2001
- Marquise de Pompadour -

For the first time in 2001, a Montblanc writing instrument was brought to market gebracht, dessen cap made of fine Meissen porcelain consists of. Aufgrund Due to the success of this beautiful writing instrument, in the following years a number of further fountain pens made of porcelain were brought to market (z.B. der Fountain Pen "Year of the Golden Dragon 888" and the writing instruments from the Annual Edition 2002 and 2003, further writing instruments are probably planned).

The Marquise de Pompadour was the mistress of King Louis XV and a passionate patron of the arts. She supported a great number of writers such as Voltaire and Mozart (both were already honoured by Montblanc with special editions).

This writing instrument is limited to 4,810 pieces. The cap consists, as already described above, of porcelain. The barrel is gold-plated with white lines of lacquer. The nib is made of 18kt Gold.

Furthermore, an edition was also released in which the cap and the barrel are made of porcelain (888 pieces).
