In addition to the "normal" 4810 Edition, Montblanc has been releasing a variant made of pure gold (solid gold) in a limited edition of 888 pieces since the "Prince Regent".

While the writing instruments of the 4810 edition are made of sterling silver, the 888 is made of 750 gold.

The cap is decorated with threads of gold and carbon.
