- Limited Anniversary Edition 1924 -

From the Limited Anniversary 1924 Edition, exactly 1924 pieces were produced. If one considers that, for example, the MB Schiller Limited Edition had as many as 18,000 pieces produced, one can well imagine how rare the 1924 editions could become...

Unfortunately, it often happens that extremely high prices are paid for regular Anniversary Editions on Ebay. On the other hand, Masterpiecees are sold as Limited 1924 Editions even though they are only regular Anniversary Editions that are not limited at all and therefore likely will never have any particular collector value.

But how do you actually recognize a Limited 1924 Edition?

Very simple:

1924 pieces of the Limited Anniversary Edotion 1924 have been produces. If you compared this with the other Limited Editions like the Montblanc Masterpiece Schiller which has been produced 18.000 times you can imagine how rare these masterpieces are.
Unfortunately you see sometimes that ordinary Special Anniversary Editions are sold for incredible high prices although the Special Edition is not limited... So the question is how to find out that you have / are bidding on a Limited Edition?

Quite easy:

_____________

On the cap is located, like all Limited Editions, the serial number (here: 1222/1924). The first number shows the serial number of this pen, the second number stands for the edition in which the fountain pen was manufactured.

Like on all Limited Editions you will find the serial on the cap - in this example it is 1222 of 1924.
The first number is the serial of this pen and the last the number of produced pens.

Die gold parts are coated with red gold coated - the clips shimmer and Ringe also reddish, so it is to be expected, that it is a 1924 model.

The golden parts are plated with rose gold.

Der star der 1924'er Edition is made of mother-of-pearl. In this image you can see it on the left. On the right is a regular Montblanc star zu sehen.

The Montblanc star is made out of mother-of-prearl. On the right picture you see a comparison with a normal star.
