Montblanc Meisterstück 142 - produced from 1950-1960.
The export models are designated Masterpiece instead of Meisterstück.

The masterpieces from the 1950s and today's series are visually almost identical. The following features distinguish the Meisterstücke
from the 1950s from today's models:
- on the twist knob (see image on the left) is the model designation,
- if you turn out the twist knob (see image on the left) you can see the brass mechanism,
- evtl.
the nib size is on the twist knob, e.g.
OB
- the
Meisterstücke from the 1950s feature a flexible
14 carat nib and
- the writing instruments are heavier in weight.
The sight glass is yellow.

The Montblanc
Meisterstück 142 is the smallest model of the Meisterstücke
from the 1950s. Here for comparison a 142 with a 149.
