Meisterstück 144
50'er Jahre
|
|
Montblanc Meisterstück 144 - produced from 1949-1960.
The export models are designated Masterpiece instead of Meisterstück.

|
The
Meisterstücke from the 1950s and today's series
are visually almost identical. The following features distinguish
the Meisterstücke from the 1950s from today's models:
- am twist knob (
see image left ) is the model designation,
- dturn the twist knob out ( see image left ) the brass
mechanism becomes visible,
- possibly the nib width
is also marked on the twist knob, e.g. OB,
- the Meisterstücke from the 1950s
feature a flexible 14 carat nib,
- the writing instruments are heavier
in weight and
- model with the additional designation "G" possible
After World War II, when the gold reserves were exhausted, Montblanc also produced fountain pens of the Meisterstück series with a steel nib. To mark these, the Meisterstück models with a gold nib received the additional designation "G".
This guaranteed that this model had a gold nib.
