Parker

- 100 -

The Parker 100 follows in the tradition of the legendary Parker 51 with its hooded nib, which was developed in the 1940s. The hooded nib was intended to prevent the newly developed quick-drying ink of the time from drying out on the nib while writing.

Unfortunately, the Parker 100 has a standard converter, which contributes to the usual converter issues such as ink clinging due to surface tension. The nib glides very smoothly over paper but is slightly stiff, which is not unusual for Parker. I have the B nib, whose width is quite moderate. Once flowing, the Parker writes very consistently. At the start, however, it can be a little temperamental for me. All in all, still a beautiful and robust fountain pen. And due to its special design, quite an eye-catcher.
